An officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has been killed during the distribution of Ramadan and Sallah palliatives in Tudun Wada Local Government Area of Kano State on Friday.
The incident took place during a programme organised by the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa.
In a statement, the lawmaker said the officer lost his life following an attempt by hoodlums to disrupt the distribution exercise.
He extended his condolences to the NSCDC, the family of the deceased officer, and the residents of Tudun Wada.
