Nigeria isn’t doomed after all. The future not completely bleaked and the hope of the younger generation to be in the saddle not entirely eclipsed. With the stuff and status of people like Hardy Onyinye Biaduo one could still heave a sigh of relief.
It is no coincidence that he celebrates his birthday on this day 21st of Feb 2024. It is a unique day , even in the religious circles 7th, 9th and 21st are notable, holding deeper religious activities.
He isn’t given to things that would stain and scorch integrity. Fair and firm in approach, blunt and audacious in expression, succinct and articulate, ventilating vision, purpose and mission. His heart bold enough to accommodate compassion, big enough to house love but too small to indulge envy, insulate injustice and give hospitality to lacklustre performance of any kind.
His obsession for equity, Justice and his desire to see a society where everybody is happy, with basic needs of life at a sustainable level very unparalleled.
I remember his spirited moves and doggedness during the last Imo State Gubernatorial election under the aegis of Imo State Redemption Group which he formed, financed and mobilised with other like minds which undoubtedly had a formidable,invincible and indomitable impact in that elections.
He didn’t form the group for any selfish interest. His drive was egalitarian, masses welfare driven, seeking nothing but what would make Imo State work again.
Though his preferred candidate lost but the impact of Imo State Redemption group wasn’t a fry on the pan. The impact for a long time will continue to reverberate in the minds of the Imolites.
He is a rising star, at a time the dimmed light of inclusive, progressive and sustainable leadership is receding into obscurity. He is a rising star to bring illumination to our very society darkened with ills and corruption.
I celebrate him today, asking him to continue on this lane where the very upper most in his heart Is a society where everybody will get fair treatment without discrimination, segregation and subjugation.
Happy birthday Hardy. Hard work pays and putting smiles on people without seeking reciprocation, one virtue you have, but lacking in many.
Happy birthday, days are numbered, inching towards that time when all you have ever wished for that are good will come to fruition. It is darkest when it is about to dawn. Nigeria will be good and Imo will be better, all these have been your earnest desire. We are matching ! It may appear a long walk but the uhuru spot is near.
As you mark your birthday today, I present to you bouquet of flowers with an amazing fragrance of rose flowers. Sniff it and have a foretaste of how the future of Nigeria and Imo State which you have always wished for would be like.
