Gunmen Abduct Two Teenage Girls In Abuja, Demand N30m Ransom

Report says two teenage sisters have reportedly been kidnapped at Guita community, Chikakore in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Nation’s capital.

It was gathered that the gunmen numbering six whisked away with the girls, who were said to be 16 and 14 years old through the forests and hills in the area.

Confirming their abduction, a security source in the area, said that the gunmen took three of a man’s children, two girls and one boy, but they went away with two girls and released one (the boy to return home and inform their father to prepare N30m ransom to secure the release of his two sisters.

It was reported that the abductors took a different method of kidnapping as they didn’t engage in any gunfire when they arrived. They were said to have forced their way into the scene of the attack.

“While they were forcing themselves inside, the owner of the house (a Calabar man) ran to the vigilante’s office, then, he ran to the commander’s house before the commander could call another person, and rush to his house, the gunmen were already gone. It was when they were going, they started shooting, unlike before that they would shoot before the operation and till the end”. The source revealed.

It was also gathered that when the two girls were taken, one of the girls was said to have been putting on a night gown as the mother’s plea for the gunmen to let her wear something for the cold, was greeted with an attack on the mother.

Reports said that when men of the Nigerian police in the area arrived the scene, the abductors had already carted away with the girls.

However, some men of the vigilante group in the area later trailed the gunmen to the railway line, to the rocks but were unable to further trace them.
