The Guards Brigade recently organized a four-day drone training lecture to help its personnel better understand how to use drones for surveillance and intelligence gathering.
The event, which started on March 25, 2024, was held at the Guards Brigade auditorium in Aguyi Ironsi Cantonment Barracks, Asokoro, and at the Nigerian Army Space Command in Giri.
During the closing ceremony, Major General AA Ayannuga, Commander of the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, expressed gratitude to the Commander of the Guards Brigade and the facilitators for organizing the training.
He emphasized the importance of training for personnel at all levels to combat crimes and social issues effectively.
Major General Ayannuga highlighted that completing the training would demonstrate the skills and talents of the officers and soldiers, enhancing the reputation of the Guards Brigade as a leader in the field.
He commended the participants, facilitators, and coordinator for their dedication throughout the training.
Brigadier General Adebisi Onasanya, the Commander of the Guards Brigade, thanked the Special Guest of Honour and the facilitators for their efforts in educating the participants on drone training.
He emphasized the significance of the training in improving the professionalism of troops during their duties.
General Onasanya urged the participants to continue building on the knowledge gained and to uphold international standards while operating.
The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the Special Guest and the Team Leader from the Nigerian Army Space Command, as well as the distribution of certificates to participants and group photographs.
