Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has announced the appointment of Anat Ashkenazi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Ashkenazi, currently the CFO of pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly, will assume her new role on July 31, 2024.
Ashkenazi brings a wealth of experience to Alphabet, having spent 23 years at Eli Lilly.
She stepped into the CFO role at the pharmaceutical company in 2021 and has held various other positions over her tenure.
This appointment follows the announced departure of Alphabet’s current CFO, Ruth Porat, who revealed her intention to leave last July.
Porat, who joined Alphabet from Morgan Stanley in 2015, will remain in her position until Ashkenazi transitions into the role.
Eli Lilly has confirmed Ashkenazi’s resignation, stating that she will continue in her current capacity until the end of July to ensure a smooth transition.
