Google Maps Unveils “Glanceable Directions” Feature for Seamless Navigation

Google Maps has rolled out its “Glanceable Directions” feature, enhancing the user experience by providing real-time Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and turn-by-turn directions directly in the route preview.
This innovation aims to streamline navigation, allowing users to check their route without the need to unlock their phones each time.
The feature, announced in February of the previous year, permits users to effortlessly view their route overview without initiating the traditional ‘Start’ button.
This proves particularly beneficial for quick, on-the-go checks during walks, bike rides, or drives.
Moreover, the adaptability of this feature shines through as it automatically adjusts the route preview if users find themselves off-track while walking, biking, or driving.
As of now, the “Glanceable Directions” feature is live for Android users.
However, its availability for iOS users remains unclear.
To activate this feature, Android users can follow simple steps:
 Open Google Maps.
Click on the profile icon.
Navigate to Settings > Navigation Settings.
Enable the “Glanceable directions while navigating” toggle.
