FIFA Opens New World Cup 2026 Ticket Sales as Final Countdown Begins

—

FIFA is set to release a fresh batch of tickets for the 2026 World Cup as the countdown to the global tournament enters its final stretch.

The football body said that new tickets for all 104 games will go on sale at 6 p.m., with a first-come, first-served sales policy. Instant confirmation will be sent to customers who properly make orders as demand grows past that of the rivals.

As the competition approaches, FIFA’s final-minute sales window seeks to make matches more accessible to more fans through ticket drops. Organizers also pointed out that, depending on availability, more tickets might be released in phases up until the final game, set for July 19.

With more than five million tickets already sold, The News Chronicle gathered that interest in the enlarged competition has stayed very high. With 48 teams spanning several host countries, the 2026 World Cup will be the biggest one yet.

FIFA has instructed fans to buy tickets only through its official platform, which also offers resale for validated transactions. Limited seats and increasing worldwide demand mean that the remaining tickets will be fiercely contested in the next few days.
