The Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy has forged a strategic partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to introduce a paid internship initiative for participants in the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme.
The 3MTT programme, established by the Federal Government, aims to bolster Nigeria’s technical talent pool, empowering young individuals to foster job creation and mitigate unemployment challenges.
Minister Bosun Tijani announced the collaboration on Tuesday evening, highlighting that UNDP Nigeria will offer paid internships spanning 12 months to 3MTT fellows.
The primary goal is to ensure that these internships align with the programme’s objective of enabling participants to apply the skills acquired during the course of the programme.
This partnership aims to provide valuable hands-on experience and practical application opportunities for the aspiring talents enrolled in the 3MTT programme, contributing significantly to the nation’s employment ecosystem.
