EPL: Mikel Arteta and Rasmus Hojlund pick up February awards

—

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta and Manchester United forward, Rasmus Hojlund have both won the Premier League best performance award for February. Arteta was named the league’s manager of the month, while Hojlund picked up the best player version of the award.

Being the only manager to record 100% victory in February, Arteta beat rivals Pep Guardiola and Erik Ten Hag to scoop the award after guiding Arsenal to four victories in which they scored a massive 18 goals.

It is the first award this season, having been nominated five times this season. He now has been named Manager of the Month on seven occasions since taking charge of Arsenal in December 2019, meaning only seven managers in the competition’s history have won more.

Manchester United’s Dane forward, Rasmus Hojlund picked up the Best Player award version following his terrific performance for the Red Devils. Rasmus scored 5 goals in his 4 games in February, a tremendous effort that sees him scoop the individual award over close rivals like Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka.
