Enugu Rangers declares one of its players wanted

Enugu Rangers has publicly declared one of its players Olawale Doyeni wanted. According to the club, Doyeni’s contract still runs until the end of 2023-24 season but the player has left the Camp of the Flying Antelope without permission from the club management.

“Doyeni, who resumed late with some other retained players a few weeks back reportedly left the team’ Nkponkiti Players’ camp without any permission from either the technical crew or any management staff just as the team intensified preparation for the start of the new season.”

Enugu Rangers called the attention of the Nigeria Football Federation to the development by sending an official mail to the Federation – with parts of the mail stating ?

“Concerns arose as the player in question returned to the team very late for the club’s preseason activities. Reports indicated that the player left the camp unnoticed, and all attempts to determine his whereabouts failed. The club therefore declares Olawale Doyeni, AWOL.”

Recall that the player played a massive part in the club’s run last season, and the club listed him to help achieve its targets for the fast-approaching 2023/2024 football season.
