Elumelu Delivers Speech at the 2024 ECOWAS Mining Forum

The fourth edition of the ECOWAS Mining and Petroleum Forum (ECOMOF 2024), which is set to take place at the Palais des Congrés in Cotonou, Benin, from February 22 to 24, 2024, has announced United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc as its official sponsor.

Key figures and stakeholders from the mining and petroleum industries in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) are anticipated to be in considerable numbers at the regional event.

As the preferred partner for the event, UBA demonstrates the bank’s dedication to the expansion of the mining and petroleum industries with its presence in 20 African countries and active participation in significant continental development projects, according to the bank.

Tony Elumelu, Chairman of the UBA Group, would deliver the keynote speech at the event’s opening ceremony.

With broad interests in power and energy, Elumelu, who also serves as Chairman of Transcorp Group, will be presenting on the topic of “Geo-extractive Resources and Technologies: What pooling strategies for value creation in West Africa.”
