The Department of State Services has invited the station Manager of Jay 101.9 FM Jos, Omobolaji Pedro.
It was gathered that the station manager has been detained at the secret police’ office in Jos for over six hours since his arrival.
Meantime, speculations are arising that the DSS has invited the journalist in relation to the station’s coverage of the recent Plateau North re-run poll held last Saturday.
However, it was reported that despite Pedro and his lawyer honoring the invitation, the DSS has still not released him as of the time of filing this report.
It was learnt that when newsmen visited the DSS office, officers initially acknowledged Pedro’s presence but later denied knowledge of his whereabouts.
A situation that has left residents in shock by the DSS’s actions and as they call for the immediate release of the media practitioner.
