A middle-aged man on Wednesday escaped death by the whiskers when his vehicle crashed into the Ulasi River along Ihiala-Onitsha expressway.
The incident happened this evening at about 4pm, when according to an eye witness, the Mitsubishi L300 commercial bus with registration number ENU113XJ, lost its breaks.

The vehicle had plunged into the Ulasi River after breaking open the handles on the bridge, as the driver struggled to gain control of the vehicle.
