Douglas Luiz, a Juventus midfielder, and his partner Alisha Lehmann, who plays for the Juventus women’s team, had their home in Turin burgled by suspected thieves.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the burglars made away with jewelry valued at €500,000.
Reports indicate that the couple was not home during the break-in. Luiz was playing in Juventus’ 1-0 victory against Lazio in a Serie A fixture, while Lehmann was staying at a hotel with the women’s team in preparation for their match against Inter Milan the following day.
After the game, Luiz returned home from dinner with his teammates and discovered the burglary. He immediately contacted the police, who launched an investigation at the scene.
This incident is not the first involving Juventus players. In the past, Moise Kean and Kaio Jorge experienced similar burglaries, while Angel Di Maria and his neighbor Dusan Vlahovic managed to thwart an attempted robbery at their homes in Turin.
