A dispatch rider identified as Austin Ikenna Adiele has allegedly absconded with 35 grammes of gold valued at N7 million entrusted to him for delivery to a customer in Lagos.
Adiele, who reportedly worked with Errand Boys Express Logistics at No. 5 Julius Nnamere Close, Igando, Lagos, allegedly collected the gold from the company for delivery before disappearing and switching off his mobile phone.
Following police intervention, the suspect was reportedly traced to Surulere, Lagos, where he was last seen on Monday, August 17, 2026.
However, efforts to locate him have so far proved unsuccessful, while the whereabouts of the missing gold also remain unknown.
Members of the public with credible information that could assist in locating Adiele or recovering the missing gold have been urged to contact 09064811051 or report to the nearest police station.
The public has also been advised not to confront or attempt to apprehend the suspect, but to provide any useful information to the appropriate authorities.
