Cubana Chief Priest Cites Insecurity for Flavour’s Father’s Funeral Location Change to Enugu

Businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, believes that insecurity is the reason highlife star Flavour’s father’s funeral was held in Enugu instead of their home state, Anambra.

Chief Priest, who attended the funeral on Saturday, shared his thoughts on his verified Instagram page. He urged people in Southeastern Nigeria to address the region’s insecurity issues, saying it’s becoming too serious.

He stressed that Southeasterners should not ruin their homeland due to marginalization. He wrote, “This amazing funeral was supposed to be in Umunze, Anambra State, but here we are in Enugu. We need to come together and fix this; it’s no longer interesting. We cannot destroy our own because we are being marginalized.

“We must uphold our glory by returning to our peaceful nature. We can only fight back effectively if our home is in order. If this continues, it means they have succeeded in disorganizing us.”

Although a number of commenters on his page disagree with his stance stating that the reason Flavour choose Enugu instead of Anambra is because he did not build a house for his late father as the Igbo tradition demands

Cubana Chief Priest also mentioned that he had to move his business to Lagos due to insecurity in the Southeast. He noted that the fear of kidnapping and violence has driven customers away from the East, who used to visit regularly.
