CORE urges Nigerians to join Monday’s mass protest against hardship and hunger

A group called the Coalition for Revolution (CORE) wants Nigerians to join a protest on Monday.

They’re unhappy about how life is tough because of the government’s bad decisions, like making the money worth less. They think it’s time for people to come together and stand up against these problems.

The group says that lots of people are already protesting in different places, but they want Monday to be a big day for everyone to join in and make their voices heard.

The statement titled: “Nigerians No Gree for Hunger and Oppression Again!” was signed by Co-convener, Baba Ayé and Gbenga Komolafe.

They believe that everyone is fed up with things like not having enough food, not having jobs, feeling unsafe, and struggling to afford basic things. They say it’s time to fight back.

CORE plans to work with other groups and unions to make the protests stronger. They say that the tough situation people are in didn’t just happen by chance.

They blame the government’s policies for making rich people richer and poor people poorer.

They don’t agree with the government’s claim that the protests are being paid for by the opposition party.

They have a list of things they want the government to do, like making fuel cheaper again, controlling the prices of food and rent, stopping the country’s money from losing value, and making rich people pay more taxes.

They say that raising the price of fuel has made everything more expensive and harder for ordinary people.

They also want the government to fix the country’s oil refineries so that Nigeria doesn’t have to spend so much money importing fuel.

CORE thinks that letting the country’s money lose value has only helped rich people get richer, while everyone else struggles to buy things they need.

They want the government to control the prices of food and rent so that poor people can afford them.

They also want workers to be paid better and on time, and they want better healthcare and education for everyone. They believe that taxing rich people more and cutting the high salaries of government officials could help solve many problems.

CORE is calling on all Nigerians to come together and keep fighting until things get better for everyone.

They believe that when people stand together, they can’t be beaten by the rich and powerful.
