Children’s Day: Anambra First Lady Advocates Better Environment for Children’s Growth

As Children’s Day is marked globally today, the wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo has called for concerted efforts by government and society to create a suitable environment for the all-round development of the Nigerian child.

Dr Soludo’s call was contained in a statement she issued on Wednesday to mark the global observance.

Children’s Day is celebrated on May 27 every year in Nigeria, and this year’s celebration has as its theme “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child.”

The Anambra First Lady, in the statement, said the global is also to recognize and celebrate the bold dreams, brilliance, and limitless potential of every Anambra child.

She noted that the children are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the pride and future of Anambra State, adding that with the right education, guidance, innovation, and opportunities, there is no limit to what they can achieve.

“As we continue to build a smarter, safer, and more progressive Anambra, we must remain committed to creating an environment where every child can learn, grow, dream, and succeed regardless of background or circumstance.

“To every Anambra child out there: believe in yourself, stay curious, work hard, and never stop dreaming. The future is bright, and it belongs to you. Grab it with both hands.

“Happy Children’s Day!” Soludo concluded.
