Carabao Cup: United Achieves Biggest Win Post-Ten Hag; Man City and Chelsea Knocked Out

In Round Four of the English Carabao Cup, fans witnessed some thrilling matches with surprising outcomes.

Despite their strong form, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Aston Villa were all knocked out, missing the chance to advance further in the tournament.

Elsewhere, Manchester United celebrated their biggest win since Ten Hag’s departure, defeating Leicester 5-2. Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes each scored twice, ending goal droughts, while Garnacho added the fifth. Although Leicester managed two goals in the first half, they couldn’t avoid defeat.

Tottenham Hotspur continued their dominance over Manchester City, securing a 2-1 victory with goals from Timo Werner and Pape Matar Sarr, while Matheus Nunes scored City’s only goal.

Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win over Preston, with Gabriel Jesus scoring his first goal for the Gunners since January. Kai Havertz and young talent Ethan Nwaneri added to the scoreline.

Liverpool edged out a resilient Brighton 3-2 at the Amex Stadium, thanks to a brace from Cody Gakpo and a goal from Luis Díaz.

Chelsea’s defeat to Newcastle was marked by Alexander Isak’s goal and an own goal by Axel Disasi, sealing a disappointing night for the Blues.

Aston Villa’s elimination was orchestrated by Crystal Palace.
