Terrorists Abduct 13 Girls on Farmland in Askira Uba, Borno State
At least 13 girls were abducted on Saturday while working on a farm in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.
A source who spoke to The News Chronicle said, “Fourteen girls were taken, but one managed to escape and returned home to alert the community so negotiations for ransom could begin.”
He added that the abducted girls are from Huyim village in Askira Uba, describing the situation as “unfortunate,” and stressing that citizens “deserve safety and guaranteed security.”
The security situation in northern Nigeria has continued to worsen, with residents expressing growing concern over frequent abductions.
