Breaking: Senators contribute their December salaries to aid victims of Kaduna bombing

—

The 109 senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have demonstrated solidarity and empathy by collectively contributing their December salaries, totaling N109 million, to support the victims affected by the unfortunate ‘accidental’ bombing incident in Tudun Biri, located in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, took the opportunity to share this benevolent gesture during a visit to the Kaduna Government House.

Leading a distinguished delegation of Senate members to the state, Senator Jibrin conveyed the collective decision to donate their salaries as a meaningful expression of support for the affected community.

The delegation, comprising senators from various regions, was warmly received by the state governor, Senator Uba Sani, further underscoring the collaborative efforts between the federal legislative body and the state government in addressing the aftermath of the tragic incident.

This noteworthy act not only reflects the senators’ commitment to public service but also highlights their concern for the well-being of citizens impacted by unforeseen events.

The financial contribution aims to aid the recovery and reconstruction efforts in Tudun Biri, offering a tangible demonstration of the senators’ dedication to the welfare of the Nigerian people.
