For the second time in a week, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has cut the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), reducing it from ₦895 to ₦890 per litre.
The new price was reflected on Wednesday across NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja, including Kubwa Expressway, Gwarinpa, and Wuse Zone 4.
This ₦5 price cut follows a similar downward adjustment last week, signaling ongoing fluctuations in fuel pricing amid downstream deregulation.
The News Chronicle observed that retail partners of Dangote Refinery, AP, Ardova, Optima, MRS, and Bovas—are offering a slightly lower rate at ₦885 per litre.
According to the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Maigandi, price instability is expected to continue as the deregulated market responds to supply and cost dynamics.
