A Kano High Court has sentenced a Chinese national, identified as Frank Geng-Quangrong to dead by hanging for killing his girlfriend in Kano in 2022.
In a ruling on Tuesday 26 March, Justice Sanusi Ado-Ma’aji said the accused was found guilty of the offence, and then convicted and thereby sentenced to death by hanging till he breaths his last.
It would be recalled that in September 2022, Quangrong was apprehended and remanded by the police for culpable homicide over the murder of his 22 year old girlfriend Ummukulsum Buhari, at her residence in Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso LGA of Kano.
Prosecution stated that the offence contravened the provision of Section 221(b) of the Penal Code Law.
