BREAKING: Fresh Plateau Killings Leave 10 Dead amid Trump’s ‘Genocide’ Threat to Nigeria

At least ten people have been killed in separate attacks across Plateau State between Friday and Saturday, November 1, 2025, heightening fears of renewed violence in the region.

The News Chronicle gathered that seven residents were reportedly killed in Kwi community, Riyom Local Government Area, while three others were slain in Pushit, Mangu Local Government Area.

Confirming the attacks on Sunday, a community leader, Rwang Tengwon, said Kwi came under siege from suspected Fulani militia.

“Kwi community was attacked on Friday and seven persons were killed. One more person was killed on his farm Saturday afternoon, and another attack happened at night,” Tengwon stated.

In Mangu, the Mwaghavul Development Association condemned the killing of three residents in Pushit.

“We call on security operatives in our local government area and the state to rise to the challenge of curbing these unwarranted assaults on innocent lives,” said the association’s Director of Public Affairs, Friday Derwan.

The attacks come amid global outcry over insecurity in Nigeria, with U.S. President Donald Trump threatening military intervention over alleged Christian persecution.
