Gunmen have abducted the twin children and sister of former Minister of Power and 2027 Oyo State governorship aspirant, Bayo Adelabu.
The News Chronicle gathered that the attack occurred on Wednesday morning in the Challenge area of Ibadan, in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area of Oyo State.
A media aide to Adelabu, Femi Awogboro, confirmed that the victims, Adelabu’s younger sister and her twin children, Peter and Paul were seized while leaving their residence in Elewura en route to the expressway.
“They were going out this morning from Elewura to link the express when they were attacked and whisked away by unknown kidnappers,” he said.
The incident comes amid renewed security concerns in the state, weeks after suspected terrorists attacked Ahoro-Esiele in Oriire LGA and abducted more than 45 pupils and teachers.
