The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State has withdrawn from Saturday’s local government elections, citing lack of trust in the Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC).
The party said high nomination fees, absence of key electoral reforms, and an overall unfair political environment prompted its decision.
With the PDP out, the ruling APC is expected to face little opposition in the polls, raising concerns about transparency and political competitiveness in the state.
