Beyoncé Makes Grammy History with 11 Nominations

Beyoncé has made history as the most-nominated artist in Grammy Awards history, leading the 67th Grammy Awards with a record-breaking 11 nominations, including Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter.

Her nominations include Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her single, “Rising Star.”

Alongside Beyoncé’s historic moment, Nigerian artists have also made an impressive showing at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Tems, whose debut album Born in the Wild received critical acclaim, earned three Grammy nominations, making her the only African artist this year with multiple nods. Her album is up for Best Global Music Album, while her single “Love Me Jeje” vies for Best African Music Performance, and “Burning” is nominated for Best R&B Song.

Burna Boy received his sixth consecutive Grammy nomination for his hit single, “Higher.” Asake and Wizkid are also nominated in the Best African Music Performance category for their collaboration, “MMS.” Meanwhile, Davido and Lojay earned nods for their feature on Chris Brown’s track, “Sensational.” Yemi Alade received her first Grammy nomination as a solo artist for her song, “Tomorrow.” Additionally, Rema’s sophomore album, HEIS, is nominated for Best Global Music Album.
