Gunmen suspected to be bandits have claimed the life of a Moniepoint training officer in Zamfara State. 
The victim, whose identity has been confirmed, was fatally shot by the assailants on Thursday.

According to Umar Lawan Hassan, the heart-wrenching news of the officer’s demise spread swiftly, prompting an outpouring of condolences and prayers.
“Innalillahi Wainna Ilaihirrajiun, Bandits killed our MONIEPOINT state training officer (STO) ZAMFARA II, shot him today morning @Admitted to hospital and finally dead. May  Allah forgive his sins, may Jannatul Firdaus be his final abode Amen,” he expressed, reflecting the deep sorrow and disbelief felt by many.
