Armed bandits have invaded Igbesi, a community in Oke Onigbin, Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State, abducting the Oba Onigbesi of Igbesi Land and several residents.
The attack reportedly occurred on Saturday when the gunmen stormed the community and launched an assault before fleeing with the victims to an unknown location.
The exact number of people abducted and whether the attackers have contacted their families remained unclear as of the time of filing this report.
The incident has heightened fears among residents as communities across Kwara South continue to face attacks and kidnappings.
The latest abduction comes days after suspected bandits reportedly kidnapped Iya Ayoka, the first wife of the Baale of Dabu community in Ifelodun Local Government Area.
