Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido and Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar
Barely 24 hours after receiving the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, former former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido met to discuss Obi’s proposals.
Their meeting, which was held behind closed doors at Atiku’s residence in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Tuesday, aimed to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of Obi’s proposals. Obi, who came third in the 2023 presidential election, had presented these proposals to them.
In a brief statement accompanied by pictures, Atiku described the discussion as productive, noting that meetings with the former governor of Jigawa State are always engaging. He said, “It is never a dull moment whenever Alhaji Sule Lamido comes calling.”
