Asake Faces Backlash from Christians Over His New ‘Only Me’ Music Video

Asake Christians Only Me

In recent developments, Afrobeat singer Asake, also known as “Mr. Money,” has found himself in controversy over his latest music video release, “Only Me.” Directed by TG Omori and produced by Blaisebeatz.

The video has sparked criticism from certain segments of the Christian community regarding the contentious scene which shows Asake dressed in priestly regalia.

The depiction raised eyebrows among some Christians who perceive it as disrespectful to their faith.

Social commentator Solomon Buchi took to social media platform X to voice his disapproval. He condemned Asake’s alleged dramatization of Christian rituals and questioned why similar actions aren’t taken regarding his Muslim faith.

This isn’t the first time Asake has faced backlash for religious imagery in his music videos, with previous instances including depictions of black goats in church settings.
