Afrobeats star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has unveiled plans for his “In God We Trust” World Tour, with performances scheduled across Europe and North America.
The award-winning singer announced the tour on his official social media platforms, revealing dates and venues for what promises to be one of his biggest global outings yet.
According to the Lungu Boy hitmaker, the tour will kick off at Afro Nation Portugal before heading to North America in August, where he is billed to perform in Chicago, Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles.
The tour will then move to Europe, with stops in Paris, London and several other cities.
South African Amapiano star Uncle Waffles is also expected to join Asake on selected North American tour dates.
The global tour comes on the heels of the release of Asake’s fourth studio album, “M$NEY,” which dropped on May 1. The project marks his first full-length album under his independent label, Giran Republic, following his exit from Olamide’s YBNL Nation.
Fans can expect performances of tracks from “M$NEY” alongside hits from his previous albums, including Mr. Money With The Vibe, Work of Art, and Lungu Boy.
Asake shot to stardom in 2022 after signing with YBNL Nation and releasing the breakout hit “Omo Ope”, followed by his debut EP, Ololade.
His smash hit “Amapiano” earned a nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards, despite being performed predominantly in Yoruba.
Since his breakthrough, Asake has built a strong international fan base, headlining concerts across Europe, the United Kingdom and North America, including a landmark performance at London’s iconic O2 Arena.
