The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken steps to resolve conflicts and differences within the party in Benue State.

This decision emerged from a reconciliation meeting led by Festus Fuanter, the Deputy National Secretary of the APC, held at the Government House in Makurdi.

The reconciliation meeting, organized by the National Working Committee, was conducted behind closed doors and aimed at addressing internal disputes among stakeholders.

Festus Fuanter, the leader of the reconciliation team, expressed optimism that the discussions and outcomes of the meeting would bring about a positive change within the APC in Benue State. He urged party members to unite and work together as a family.

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue state affirmed that the meeting had successfully alleviated concerns and tensions within the party in the state.

However, a surprising development unfolded when Austin Agada, the state Party chairman, was suspended by his ward executive committee.

In response to his suspension, Austin Agada asserted that he remains the Chairman of the Party in the state.

This unexpected turn of events has cast uncertainty over the peace brokered by the APC National Working Committee, as the internal crisis appears to be intensifying.

Despite the efforts of the National Working Committee of the APC, the situation in Benue State remains unsettled, raising questions about the effectiveness of the reconciliation initiatives.
