The APC in Plateau State is really upset about what happened to Slyvanus Namang, their Publicity Secretary. They want the police to really look into it and find out who killed him.
Rufus Bature, the Chairman of the party in the state, talked to reporters in Jos about it. He said they’re all scared now because of what happened to Namang.
Namang was killed at a shop in Pankshin by some gunmen who might have been hired to do it.
The shop owner was also killed. The party doesn’t know all the details yet because the police haven’t finished their investigation.
But they’re very worried because Namang was a strong supporter of the APC and always stood up for the party.
The Chairman said Namang was a brave man who always defended the APC, even when he faced threats and harassment from people who didn’t like the party.
“Without sounding immodest as a Party, we refuse to subscribe to the narratives being peddled around on the gruesome murder even when investigations have not been concluded.
The APC believes that Namang’s murder is a serious matter, and it’s possible that other party members and citizens might not be safe in Plateau State anymore.
“Consequently, we demand a thorough investigation into the murder and the perpetrators of this dastardly act should be brought to justice to allay any fears that have at the moment engulfed the teeming supporters of the APC”.
They asked the police to find out who did it and make sure they face justice. They’re really sad about what happened to Namang and want his family and all APC supporters to stay calm while they wait for the police to finish their investigation.
