Anambra NYCN to Host WAZOBIA Cultural Fiesta, Talent Hunt, to promote Unity among Youths

All is set for the first-ever Wazobia Cultural Fiesta and Talent Hunt being put together by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Anambra State.
This was revealed during a courtesy visit to the Anambra State Commissioner for Youths, Mr Patrick Aghamba, by the State NYCN Council, led by the State Chairman, Ambassador Comrade Obi Emeka Chukwudi, to garner the Ministry’s endorsement and partnership towards the event.
The Wazobia Cultural Fiesta and Talent Hunt initiative is in line with the vision of the Chukwuma Soludo administration to promote Anambra as a safe haven for creative ventures.
It also aims to promote the diverse cultural values and endowments of the various people of Nigeria, while encouraging unity and patriotism among the young people.
The event is billed to happen on the 27th of July, 2024.
Speaking during the visit, the State NYCN Chairman, Ambassador Comrade Obi Emeka Chukwudi, said the initiative is part of the Council’s advocacy activities for mobilizing youth structures towards positive engagements and strengthening of the peace and unity of people of the country.
According to him, the youths being the creative age group in society, can through such events, begin to look away from crime and other social vices.
Obi expressed appreciation to the Anambra Youths Commissioner for providing leadership for Anambra youths and coordinating the numerous visions of Governor Soludo towards youth empowerment, in a manner that has yielded positive results.
“This visit is to ensure that the Council and the Ministry are in sync with respect to the laudable intentions we have for the upcoming Wazobia Cultural Fiesta and Talent Hunt.
“This no doubt, aligns with what Mr Governor envisions, which is to make Anambra a liveable and prosperous homeland and the first choice destination to live, work, and enjoy.
“We have absolute confidence that with the support of the youth Ministry and the Commissioner, we will accomplish one of the best talent hunts Anambra has ever seen,” Obi enthused.
Receiving his guests, Commissioner Aghamba said the Soludo administration is intentional about what it wants to achieve with the youths in Anambra State, noting that the results are everywhere.
Assuring his support and that of his Ministry towards the event, Commissioner Aghamba agreed that the event would do a lot to engage the minds of the young people positively.
He said; “Mr Governor has done a lot for Anambra youths- through the One Youth Two Skills initiative and other programs that have empowered our youths to be self-reliant and independent.
“The vision to create one thousand youth millionaires annually is alive through these programs and we can only be grateful to the governor for his strategic plans.
“I want to assure the Youth Council that the Ministry is  solidly behind them in any venture that will complement what the government is doing to make lives better for the youths.”
