Anambra Legislature Receives First Batch of Soludo’s Commissioner-Nominees

The Anambra State House of Assembly on Tuesday announced the receipt of the first batch of Commissioner-nominees from the State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.

Mr Frankline Osankwa, who is the Special Assistant on New Media to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkem Udeze said the list was forwarded for confirmation during today’s plenary.

Among the Commissioner-nominees are –

1. Agriculture — Dr. Ben Chuks Odoemena

2. Budget and Economic Planning— Mr. Chukwukadibia Okoye

3. Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism — Mr. Udoji Amedu

4. Education — Dr. Ekene Ogugua

5. Environment — Dr. Clem Aguiyi

6. Finance — Mr. Izuchukwu M. Okafor

7. Health — Dr. Afam Obidike

8. Information and Value Reformation — Dr. Law Mefor

9. Justice/Attorney-General — Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN

10. Lands — Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, SAN

11. Local Government and Community Affairs— Barr. Vin Ezeaka

12. Petroleum and Mineral Resources — Prof. Charles Ofoegbu

13. Physical Planning and Urban Development — Barr. Chijioke Oseloka Ojukwu

14. Power — Engr. Casmir Chinenye Agummadu

15. Works and Infrastructure — Arc. Okey Ezeobi

16. Transport — Hon. Eddy Ibuzo

17. Women Affairs and Social Development — Mrs. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi

18. Youth Development and Sports — Mr. Patrick Agha, MBA

The Speaker’s media aide revealed that the forwarded names have been referred to the Committee on Screening and Election Matters for the appropriate action.
