Alleged Boko Haram/ISWAP Collaborator Caught Ferrying Supplies to Suspected Terror Son in Borno

Troops of the 196 Amphibious Battalion under Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP collaborator during a routine security check in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The suspect, 50-year-old Mrs. Kellu Alhaji Abba, was intercepted at about 8:00 a.m. on May 20, 2026, at the C Company 7 Platoon checkpoint.

She was allegedly found transporting supplies intended for her son, Modu Mustapha, a suspected terrorist operating in the Dumba general area.

Security sources said items recovered from her included four ready-to-use supplementary food packs, two hijabs, and a wristwatch.

The military confirmed that she is currently in custody and undergoing investigation, with further action to follow.

It was gathered that the security situation across the theatre remains calm but volatile, while troops continue to maintain strong morale and operational effectiveness.
