Alausa Launches 75 Vehicles to Boost Education, Staff Welfare, Student Safety

The Federal Ministry of Education, under the leadership of Dr. Mamman Tahir Alausa, CON, has commissioned 75 new vehicles to strengthen education service delivery, promote staff welfare, and improve student safety nationwide.

The new fleet comprises 42 ambulances, 23 Hilux vans, and 10 Coaster buses, each branded, registered, and equipped with modern tracking devices to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper maintenance.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Alausa explained that the initiative reflects President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes service delivery, staff motivation, and educational reform.

According to the Minister, the ambulances will strengthen emergency responses across Federal Unity Colleges, while the Coaster buses will support staff mobility and reduce transport costs. The Hilux vans, he added, will enhance logistics, monitoring, and management efficiency.

Dr. Alausa reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to accountability and proper maintenance, assuring that the next phase of deployment will extend to more institutions.
“Beyond quality education, we must ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of every learner and educator,” the Minister emphasized.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, described the commissioning as a milestone in education reform, focused on improving mobility, welfare, and emergency response nationwide.

Mr. Enitan lauded President Tinubu’s leadership and the Minister’s dedication to reforms that empower staff and strengthen educational infrastructure. He reiterated that all procurement processes were guided by the principles of value for money, transparency, and good governance, in line with the Federal Government’s reform objectives.

“Education service delivery must be driven by efficiency, accountability, and human-centered development,” Mr. Enitan stated.
