AGN Suspends Halima Abubakar Indefinitely Over Alleged Slanderous Rumors

—

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has indefinitely suspended popular actress Halima Abubakar following serious allegations of spreading damaging rumors about fellow celebrities.

In a statement shared on social media on Friday, October 18, the AGN explained that a thorough investigation revealed Halima as the source behind several controversial stories circulating about her colleagues.

These stories often involved extramarital affairs and prominent figures within the entertainment industry.

The investigation, conducted over the course of two years by a special panel, uncovered that Halima had been responsible for the slanderous information, particularly rumors involving high-profile individuals.

As a result of these findings, Halima has been suspended from all AGN and film-related activities. She will also face the National Disciplinary Committee, where further action may be taken. The AGN made it clear that during her suspension, she will not be allowed to participate in any guild or movie-related projects.

“After two years of painstaking investigation, the panel found that Miss Halima Abubakar was responsible for spreading harmful information about our members, associates, and patrons, especially rumors about extramarital affairs linked to influential people,” the AGN’s letter stated.
