Africa: They Inspire Change, Care For Them  

Some members of society might not understand them.

They are underrated. Still, they withstand.

It’s in them to galvanise, visualise and humanise.

Their pens probe, protest, query, and antagonise.

They serve their nations with a sense of devotion.

Their written words define ethos into a diffusion.

Yet institutional care for literature is either zero

or sorry. Why can’t a poet be honored as a hero?

Writers seek truth and a just socio-economic order.

They enlighten, impact, amuse and even hit a hoarder!
