Abuja High Court Issues Summons for Former Kogi Governor Bello to Appear on November 14

—

A High Court in Abuja has issued a public summons for former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, to appear in court on November 14, 2024.

Bello is facing allegations of money laundering and corruption, with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accusing him of fraud totaling N110.4 billion.

Despite previous attempts by the EFCC to arrest Bello, political interference has reportedly prevented his detention.

Bello had previously visited the EFCC in September but was allowed to leave after arriving with Kogi Governor, Usman Ododo, who has immunity.
