A New Prince is Born: Ooni of Ife Celebrates Birth of First Child with Olori Ashley

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has joyfully announced the arrival of his first child with his fourth wife, a baby boy.

The announcement was made on his Instagram page, where the revered monarch shared a heartfelt photo of himself alongside his wife to celebrate this special moment.

In his post, the Ooni expressed his deep gratitude to God for the blessing of a healthy son and reassured everyone that both the mother and the newborn are in good health.

He wrote: “To God be the glory, great things He has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the maternal side of the Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of the Lafogido Ruling House, and the paternal side of the Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of the Giesi Ruling House, both united in the Royal throne of Oduduwa. Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty and in accordance with the spirits of our ancestors.”

Olori Ashley, the Ooni’s fourth wife, was introduced to the Royal Court of Oduduwa in 2022. She is a princess from the Lafogido ruling house in Ile-Ife and is well accomplished in her own right. Olori Ashley is a chartered accountant and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich. She currently runs several businesses in the United Kingdom.

In addition to her professional career, Olori Ashley is also deeply committed to charitable causes. She founded the Ashley Adegoke Foundation, an NGO that focuses on supporting underprivileged children and widows, demonstrating her dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

The birth of this baby boy marks the first child for Olori Folashade, and the news has been met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages for both the queen and the Ooni of Ife from friends, family, and well-wishers.
