Nigerian model and creative director Rachel Ojuromi, 22, walked in Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at the Grand Palais in Paris this week, months after she began recreating the brand’s looks on the streets of Lagos.
Rachel Ojuromi, who posts as @giverachelashot, wore a pale yellow-and-grey plaid jacket, a textured yellow skirt, and a brown belt. She carried a bag and wore her hair in cornrows. The show was part of Paris Fashion Week.

Earlier this year, Rachel filmed herself walking through Lagos in Chanel looks styled from her own wardrobe. She worked with stylist and designer Debby Fasingha and used thrifted pieces. Her recreation of the Chanel Métiers d’Art collection drew the most attention.
Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy commented on that post with one word, “Everything,” and a heart emoji. The comment received more than 14,000 likes, according to Australian magazine RUSSH.
Following the post, Rachel announced on X that she has signed with four agencies:
- No Smoking in New York
- SAFE Management in Paris
- SUPA Worldwide in London
- Next Canada, which she called her mother agency
She wrote that “thousands of us” had spent six months manifesting the moment. Her post had 122,000 views at the time of writing. “This is just the beginning,” she said. Fans reacted with joy. One wrote, “EVERYBODY SCREAMMMMMM”. Another fan commented, “I’ve never been happier for a stranger.” RUSSH named Rachel Ojuromi its favourite new face of the Paris Fashion week.

Rachel Ojuromi began in film before moving into communications, writing and creative direction. She now treats modeling as another way to tell stories. She also founded The Process Africa, a platform that documents how young African creatives build their careers.
In some of her videos, she turned hawking and errands in Lagos into a modeling career. According to The Cut, the fashion section of New York Magazine, her fit checks support a plan to help young African creatives grow. Rachel Ojuromi called it her favourite interview of the year. She has not yet announced her next bookings.
