Bobrisky said on Instagram on Wednesday that he wants to be born again. He made the remark a day after actress Tonto Dikeh gave him ₦2 million for his birthday.
Tonto, an actress and evangelist, posted a tribute on 22 September to Idris Okuneye, who is known as Bobrisky. She called him her brother and described him as “my anchor”. She said the cheque was money for his breakfast. Bobrisky posted a screenshot of the bank alert and thanked her.
Bobrisky then described a message exchange with Tonto. He said when she asked him for a birthday photo to post, he sent two provocative pictures. According to him, she asked for a decent picture and reminded him that she is an evangelist. He told her, “We ride forever,” and said he is happy with her growth.
He also wrote that watching Tonto has given him peace. “I want to become born again,” he said. He joked about what the change would mean for his body and lifestyle. The post does not say whether he plans to act on it.
Tonto launched the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle in Abuja on 9 August 2026. She calls it an interdenominational gathering, not a conventional church. It meets every Friday at 6 pm at Omini Grand Hotel, Jabi.
The two have been close friends for about five years. They fell out publicly in 2021, after they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Bobrisky said the dispute began over a video of him spraying money on Lady Golfer, a former friend of Tonto’s. He later claimed Tonto owed him ₦5 million.
In April 2023, Bobrisky told media personality Toke Makinwa that he missed the friendship. He said the two were “impatient and hot-tempered people”. In 2024, Tonto contacted him while the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission held him in custody, and the two began following each other again. In June 2025, Bobrisky publicly congratulated her on her 40th birthday.
