I Prefer Talking To Reasonable Human Beings — Olayinka, Rufai Oseni Clash on Live TV as Arise Cuts Interview Short

A heated exchange erupted on Arise News’ Morning Show on Friday when Lere Olayinka, media aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, clashed with anchor Rufai Oseni during a live interview.

As monitored by The News Chronicle, the confrontation began after Oseni posed a question to Olayinka, who abruptly declined to respond, saying he would not answer questions from the Arise presenter.

“I don’t want to answer any question from you, Oseni Rufai,” Olayinka said.

He insisted that he preferred to engage in a conversation with “reasonable human beings”, accusing Oseni of previously referring to people as “Gbewudani.”

Olayinka’s refusal to engage Oseni led to a tense exchange between the two men, with the discussion becoming increasingly confrontational.

The situation eventually forced Arise News to abruptly terminate the interview, bringing the fiery encounter to an early end.

The latest clash adds to the already strained relationship between Olayinka and Oseni, who have exchanged sharp words on several occasions over political issues and the conduct of media interviews.

Their previous encounters have also degenerated into heated arguments, including a widely reported 2025 confrontation in which Olayinka questioned Oseni’s professional credentials as a journalist.
