No One Is Above the Law — Borno Activist Bodai Launches Accountability Campaign

Borno-based activist Umar Bodai has announced plans to launch “Operation Hold Them Accountable,” a nationwide campaign aimed at promoting accountability, respect for the rule of law and equal treatment across Nigerian society.
In a statement obtained by The News Chronicle on Friday, Umar Bodai said the initiative would focus on ensuring that citizens are treated fairly and that the law is upheld across various sectors, including schools, workplaces, police stations, courts and other public institutions.
According to him, “No one is above the law,” stressing that every Nigerian should have equal rights and access to the country’s resources.

He argued that Nigeria’s collective resources belong to all citizens and must be managed responsibly and transparently for the benefit of everyone.
Bodai called on Nigerians to stand together during what he described as a critical period for the country, urging citizens to support efforts to protect the nation, strengthen public institutions, and prevent further deterioration of the country’s situation.
He maintained that the responsibility for building and safeguarding Nigeria rests on all Nigerians, regardless of status or position.
The activist said the planned campaign would seek to encourage citizens to demand accountability and uphold the principles of fairness, justice and equality throughout the country
