Veekee James, Yhemolee Kids Win N500k Best-Dressed Prize

Media personality Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux marked their son Rakeem’s first birthday with a lavish celebration that included a best-dressed kids contest, a viral dance video with her husband, and a gift controversy that continued to trail one of the guests.

The party, tagged #RakeemsFirstStory, took place over the weekend and drew several figures from Nigeria’s entertainment and lifestyle circles. Rakeem is the son of Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, and the grandson of actress Iyabo Ojo.

Ahead of the event, Priscilla Ojo had announced cash prizes for a best-dressed contest: 1 million naira each for the top male and female winners, and 500,000 naira for the winner of the kids category.

When the results were announced on Monday, August 31, 2026, the kids category went to Eliana Adeife Atere, daughter of fashion designer Veekee James, and Amirion Oluwaferanmi Tiaraoluwa, son of socialite Yhemolee. Both children were noted for their outfits among a well-dressed gathering of guests.

The party venue carried a Western theme, decorated with cactus and cowboy décor. The celebration continued into an after-party, where a video of Priscilla Ojo dancing closely with her husband began circulating on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

The clip drew attention partly because of its timing. In recent months, a section of Tanzanian fans have been calling on Priscilla to leave her marriage, following concern over Juma Jux’s noticeable weight loss, a campaign some online users tagged #FreeJumaJux. The dance video was widely viewed online in response to that campaign.

Fans reacted with humour and admiration. One wrote: “The other side of @its.priscy is coming out gradually. When you marry your best friend, you behave like a baby.” Another fan commented: “See as juma juice just dey smile. He is so proud to be Priscy’s husband.”

Separately, actress Aisha Lawal, who had faced backlash over her conduct at the party, addressed the criticism in her own way. On Sunday, August 30, 2026, she posted a TikTok video showing the gift bag she received at the celebration.
