Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has hinted at an upcoming album, saying he is having “so much fun” working on the project.
The Grammy Award-winning singer disclosed this in a post on his X handle, expressing excitement about sharing the new project with his fans.
“Having so much fun making this next one! Can’t wait to share,” he wrote, adding the hashtag #album.
Responding to fans who have been eagerly anticipating his next release, Wizkid later wrote, “E go drop, make una stop dey fight.”
The posts have sparked excitement among fans, many of whom have been waiting for the singer to announce his next full-length project.
Wizkid, however, did not reveal the album’s title or expected release date.
The forthcoming project will follow Morayo, his sixth studio album, which is set for release in November 2024 and is dedicated to his late mother, Jane Balogun.

Morayo featured collaborations with artistes including Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, Tiakola and Anaïs Cardot.
Wizkid has also released several acclaimed projects, including Made in Lagos, More Love, Less Ego and Sounds From the Other Side.
