Bobrisky Shares State of His Kidney After Multiple Cosmetic Surgeries

Nigerian social media personality Bobrisky told followers on Instagram that his kidneys remain healthy despite years of cosmetic surgery.

He shared the news through an Instagram Story on Wednesday, posting his eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) result of 85, a figure doctors consider within the normal range.

Bobrisky, known for undergoing extensive body modification procedures, said the result surprised and pleased him. “When I heard the result of my eGFR, my kidney function, I was so happy! My eGFR was 85, so I guess my kidney loves me so much,” he wrote.

He followed the announcement with a joke about the toll his surgeries may have taken on his body. “After all the times I’ve gone under the knife to look this beautiful, my kidney is still working perfectly,” he said.

He also encouraged his fans to take their own kidney health seriously, noting that many people never check their eGFR levels. “Some of you don’t even know your eGFR or your kidney function status. Some people’s eGFR is already below 60, and they don’t even know it,” he wrote, adding: “That’s why regular check-ups are so important. Please, go and check yourself.”

Medical guidance generally treats an eGFR below 60 as a signal of reduced kidney function that warrants further testing.

The post drew a wide range of responses on Instagram and X. Some fans praised Bobrisky for turning a personal update into a public health message.

One X user wrote that his kidney had “survived a lot of surgery and stress” and credited divine mercy for his continued health. Others used the post to criticize him. Another X user dismissed the update with a jab at his surgeries and identity.

This is not the first time Bobrisky has spoken publicly about his health. He has previously said he takes an HIV test every six months, a habit he described as a personal precaution rather than a response to fear, despite stating he has not been sexually active for several years.
