The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Mr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has congratulated Sheikh Khaleefah Akoshile, the Grand Khalifa of the Tijaniyah movement in Lagos State, on his 77th birthday.
Akoshile is also a member of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and the Amirul-Mumini of Oro Kingdom in Kwara.
Danladi-Salihu conveyed his felicitations in a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Abdulkadir Yusuf.
The speaker commended Akoshile for his contributions to the propagation of Islamic teachings and ideals, as well as his efforts to promote spiritual awareness, particularly as a leader of the Tijaniyah movement.
He described the cleric as a respected Islamic scholar whose commitment to peace, unity and spiritual development had continued to inspire many.
